Day 1 – Airport Transfer to hotel in San Jose
San Jose AngelAt your arrival, Costa Rica Guides and Expediciones Tropicales will have a representative past the immigration point at the end of the ramp, waiting for you, holding a visible placard with your last name. The representative will not be able to provide assistance with your luggage inside the airport, as you’re the only person permitted to do so.
Once you have exited the airport, our driver will gladly assist you with your luggage and private transportation to the hotel in San Jose.
Day 2 – Tour to the Arenal Volcano Area & visit to Tabacon Hotsprings Resort
The Arenal Volcano, a mere 91 km from San José, is one the most active volcanoes in the Americas. In 1968 it erupted decimating the small town of Tabacón. At present, pyroclastic activity is at a minimum, however, during the day it is likely you will witness smoke and ash bellowing from the nearly perfectly formed conical shape of this majestic natural wonder.
Next, we will visit the Tabacon Hot Springs where you can relax in the soothing waters and be caressed by the cool night air while observing the stars and the incredible night sky above the volcano. At a convenient time after your arrival, we will treat you to a scrumptious dinner and at the end of the evening you will be transferred to your hotel in Arenal.
Day 3 – Day at leisure in Arenal Volcano Area
Day 4 – Transfer to Manuel Antonio (Central Pacific) & day at leisure in Manuel Antonio
Day 5 – Manuel Antonio National Park Tour
Manuel Antonio National Park is deservedly the most popular park in Costa Rica with beautiful white sand beaches surrounded by emerald waters and jungle. Our naturalist guides will explain the history and geography of the area as well as help you get the most of your visit, pointing out sloth, monkeys, iguanas, and a multitude of insects and birds during this very informative three hour walk.
*Please note that Manuel Antonio National Park is closed on Mondays.

Day 6 – Day at leisure in Manuel Antonio
Day 7 – Transfer from Manuel Antonio to San José & day at leisure in San José
Day 8 – Airport Transfer
