Luck helped the National Football Team

It was already known that the Tricolor would begin the pre-worldwide championship towards South Africa 2010 against an opponent that at least in the ranquin looks weaker than Costa Ricans.

The Costa Ricans, who are unmotivated in the second phase of the round, the same as 10 other teams in the area, they have to start the game with the last winners of the series between Virgin Islands from United Stated and with Granada.

These are two names that say little for the fans and it´s enough to say that either will be a contender unprecedented in the history of the National Football Squad.

Virgin Islands is the penultimate selection of the world, according to the ranquin of FIFA, which is in the post 206 of the 208 registered.

Granada, for its part, appears at position 170 and comes as a favorite to earn the right to play against Costa Rica.

The Costa Rica´s selection appeared in the post 69 of the last ranquin.

Like Costa Rica, other teams as Mexico, the United States, Trinidad and Tobago, Guatemala will have unknown rivals in the world football and that at least they do not seem very complicated.

It is important to remember that in the first stage of the worldwide championship, 24 countries will confront in 12 series, at the end only 12 countries will classified.

The only exception is Canada against San Vicente y Granadinas which winner will pass immediately throw the third round.

In this third phase, 12 winners will be divided in 3 groups and will advanced to the final hexagon.
The 3 first winner groups will go to the World wide championship and the fourth will play against the fifth place in South America.
