The dance group Metamorphoses cease by flowing tonight when they show their talent today at the Teatro de la Danza, the show is named 70% water.
The staging is directed by the dancer and choreographer Sol Carballo, who along with his boys, presented an piece of work from the edition number XXIV of the Choreographers Festival, in last November.
In this piece, Carballo launches a message, which says that throw movement you can reflect he importance of the protection of the vital liquid, water. In this way, over 45 minutes and in one act, the panel will submit its proposal which consists on shamanistic tables, rituals, the spirit of water, precipitation, jade pieces, segmented space and drought.
For the director, this is one of the most complex performances that the company has made so far.They use the multimedia resources and several movements of theatre and dance. In this show people will be able to see and hear the live music, and a look at a dance video with apparel refurbished. In addition, we have added a section of acrobatics with cloth and a game of Chinese shadow that was not presented at the Festival, "he said. In addition, the choreography will have the participation of the former Alux Nahual, Ranferí Aguilar, who together with the musicians of Metamorphoses will perform part of his repertoire “etnofusion”. The choreographer said that the selection of Ranferí Aguilar came after he listened to his work during the Festival of “Danza de Brincos” in Guatemala. Combined with the participation of Aguilar, the show will have two more guests.
These dancers are Greta Castro and Roney Ramirez, who were selected from an audition, and joined the cast with other nine more artists. Altogether this staging cost over ¢ 5.9 million. This amount was financed thanks to the contribution offered since last year by the National Programme for the Development of the Performing Arts, Pro-Artes and benefiting more than 50 projects in the country.
